Single Lessons

If you're looking for focused, one-on-one support, you've come to the right place. This training works well for puppies with all kinds of behaviors. Below you'll find a few examples of what we can cover in training, though the possibilities go well beyond that.

Accept rules and limits

Clear rules and boundaries are essential so your puppy doesn't turn their new home into a personal playground.
Right from the start, it's important to show your puppy what belongs to them, what they're allowed to chew on, and how long they're allowed to bark. They need to learn to accept rules and limits, and to tolerate a bit of frustration along the way.
I'll show you how to communicate this in a way your puppy understands.

Socialization

Contact with other dogs, animals, and people is essential for puppies. This contact needs to be introduced carefully, so your puppy has positive encounters and good experiences.
This way, your puppy learns to see other animals as friends not as prey.
I'll show you how to make these interactions a success. If helpful, I can also bring along Jamie, my social and well-balanced dog.

Commands

To be able to trust your puppy at all times, it's important to teach them solid commands. I'll show you which commands matter most and how to train them so they truly stick.

Staying alone

Dogs are highly social animals that, in nature, almost never spend time alone. Because being alone doesn't come naturally to them, your puppy needs to learn how to handle it properly, so they can stay home without excessive stress, barking, whining, or turning your place upside down. In puppy training, you'll learn exactly how to make that happen.

Fear & aggression

In stressful situations, dogs may respond with fear or aggression and each requires a different approach. It's important to know how to respond correctly, so the behavior isn't unintentionally reinforced. In puppy training, I'll show you how to react appropriately in a range of different situations.

Play the right way

Puppies love to play – and through play, they learn and develop important skills. In private puppy training, I'll show you how to play with your puppy the right way.

Experience new things

Puppies encounter countless new experiences, and it's important that they perceive these as positive. New situations can be genuinely challenging for puppies. Bathing and brushing, for instance, are often unpopular. That's why it's so important to turn these initially uncomfortable moments into positive experiences. With me by your side, you'll learn exactly how to do that.

Heel & retrieval training

Recall is a particularly important and demanding command. It's what allows your dog to enjoy maximum freedom.

We can begin leash-walking (heel) training once your puppy is 4–6 months old.

Others

There's so much more your dog can learn. Want to bring them along to work, or take them stand-up paddling with you? Just let me know what matters to you. Together, we'll find a solution that works for you both.
